Independent observers have consistently characterized him the same way. The Oldie described "something unintentionally old-fashioned about Farage – not just the flat caps and the tweed jackets, but the Leslie Phillips lingo." The Telegraph noted his "old-fashioned reading of British identity rooted in history and constitutionalism." On the Jordan Peterson podcast, Farage self-identified as a "traditionalist" who believes "our culture matters" and "our history matters." The Critic described him speaking of "the loss of the values of our grandparents." This is not a claim requiring access to private information. Farage's belief in "old-fashioned" values — punctuality, manners, traditional dress, formality — is something he has publicly and repeatedly asserted about himself, and his public behavior is entirely consistent with it.
