“You were hit by a car at age 21.”
Reasoning & Evidence21 Jul 2026
Nigel Farage was born on 3 April 1964. According to Wikipedia and multiple other sources, he was hit by a car on 25 November 1985 in Orpington, after a night out. On that date, he was 21 years old (having turned 21 on 3 April 1985). The accident left him with severe injuries — head and leg injuries, the latter nearly requiring amputation — and he spent months in casts. The BBC describes the incident as occurring "in his early 20s," which is consistent with age 21. The claim is therefore accurate.

From article
You were just as lucky at the age of 21 when, full of ‘English ale and Irish whiskey’, you were hit and nearly killed by a car; but that didn’t seem to affect you.
