Farage’s memoir *Flying Free* does discuss his father’s problems. In the previewed text, he describes his father as an alcoholic, refers to the stresses of "life with an alcoholic," and says that "my father’s problems worsened." That directly supports the interview remark that he talks a little bit in the book about some of the problems his father had.
